Applications

• Especially suitable for the protection and decoration of facades and exterior vertical surfaces of concrete, mortar, cement, brick, fiber cement or monolayers, where it prevents or avoids the appearance of microcracks, providing waterproofing and breathability.
• On interior walls and ceilings made of common construction materials, such as pl aster, cement, mortar or plasterboard.

Instructions for use

Treatment of the support.

The substrate must be clean, dry, free of grease or contaminants, free of loose elements and free of areas affected by biodegradation that prevent the correct anchorage or affect the durability of the painting system.

• Concrete, its prefabricated products, fiber cement:

Allow the concrete to set completely (30 days minimum at 25ºC). Eliminate the setting slurry, soluble salts and efflorescence as well as remains of chemical products used in the manufacture of the concrete by means of water jet plus abrasive or high pressure water jet (200 kilos/cm2 ). If abrasive has been used, wash with water to eliminate possible accumulated residues. Allow to dry until surface moisture content is less than 10%.

• Surfaces in good condition, plasters, cementitious monolayers, brick and others:

Remove dust, dirt and other poorly adhered materials by mechanical or manual procedures. Level surface irregularities and other imperfections by means of a water-based exterior filler.

• Aged unpainted surfaces:

Check that hardness, surface cohesion and compaction are correct. Remove dust, dirt and surface contaminants by mechanical procedures. Level surface irregularities and other imperfections by means of an exterior water-based plaster.

• Insulation based on projected polyurethane or expanded polyethylene:

Eliminate residual dust, dry spray of projection or material disintegrated by the cut by means of pressurized water followed by a soft brushing. Allow to dry for several days.

Product application.

The application can be made with brush, roller or spray gun, after shaking the product and dilution. The cleaning of equipment should be done with water before the paint dries. Once dry, cleaning solvent should be used.

• Primer:

Apply a coat of Eurotex (water-based) Eurofixer diluted 1 part per 4 of water if the surface has a firm, dry, absorbent and compact appearance or Eurotex (solvent-based) water-repellent sealer diluted 25 to 75% with Eurosolv-X if the surface has a lack of consistency and high absorption.

• Finishing:

Apply three coats of Ocean F30 Elastic Coating at a rate of 6 m²/l (85 - 125µ dry) each to a thickness of approximately 280 - 300 microns total dry to obtain the desired elastic properties for this type of coating. Thin the first coat 5 - 10% with water if necessary.
