Elastic waterproof coating available in various colors. Particularly suitable for flat or sloping roofs, terraces, roof terraces or balconies. It does not contain solvents and is environmentally friendly. Occasional traffic if it is assembled with reinforcing fabric, avoiding possible water filtrations.

Description

Anti-drip waterproofing paint with high elasticity and resistance.

Although Impertex is used especially as a waterproofing paint for roofs and decks, this elastic coating also has a high performance on roofs, vaults, domes, pots, gutters or even as a waterproofing mastic for filling expansion joints, cracks and half-rounds.

Recommended uses

  • Waterproofing of roofs and non-trafficable roofs over Catalan tile, unglazed ceramic, concrete, mortar or fiber cement finishes.
  • Waterproofing of roofs, terraces, vaults or domes.
  • Waterproofing of vertical surfaces, flower pots, planters and gutters.
  • As a waterproofing mastic for filling expansion joints, sores and half reed confections by mixing 1 part of Iriplast Impertex with 3 parts of fine sand.

Instructions for use

  • Homogenize the product before use avoiding the incorporation of air bubbles.
  • Product to use, does not require dilution unless the waterproofing itself is used as a primer, diluting in this case up to 10% with water.
  • Pre-treat seams and expansion joints using Sintex Pu 50 polyurethane putty.. In meeting points, right angles and half reeds, apply the waterproofing itself together with fiberglass or geotextile as a sandwich.
  • Apply a layer of Iriplast Impertex at a yield of 0.600 - 0.800 L/m2 , on top of which is placed 60 gr/m2 fiberglass mesh, as a sandwich (wet on wet). fiberglass mesh is applied as a sandwich (wet on wet). Respecting the repainting time, apply a second coat of Iriplast Impertex at a coverage rate of 0.600 - 0.800 L/m2 , until the fiberglass is completely covered, so that once dry, the fabric absorbs the shear stresses.
  • If necessary, taking into account the recoating time, apply an extra coat of topcoat until the fiberglass is completely covered at a recommended coverage of 0.500 L/m2.
  • The total recommended yield for complete waterproofing is 2 L/m2.
  • The interlayer with fiberglass fabric is optional, but highly recommended as it provides greater mechanical resistance to the waterproofing.
