White Spirit solvent, also known as mineral turpentine, is a solvent that is normally used as a substitute for turpentine. It is not very soluble in water and has a high degreasing power. Its uses also include:
- Thinner for synthetic paints, varnishes or oil paints
- As a fluidizing agent for viscosity adjustment
- Cleaning of painting tools and utensils
- Increase brochability in use
