Next Friday, April 15th is World Art Day, at Eurotex we are committed to art as a form of expression. We aim to support and raise awareness about the importance of cultural diversity in our society.

The date chosen for the celebration of this day so full of creativity and artistic expression is in honor of the birth of the painter, sculptor and architect Leonardo Da Vinci.

Eurotex wanted to celebrate World Art Day by collaborating with the School of Design and Visual Communication of Andalusia Lab Sevilla.

Eurotex collaborates with Escuela Lab Sevilla on the occasion of World Art Day

The Seville Lab School opened its doors ten years ago in the city of Seville with the aim of facilitating encounters between society, art and design through activities that value contemporary visual culture. The project was started by Alejandro Rojas, its director. In its beginnings, the school focused on graphic design training. The initial concept was training, exhibitions and coworking, but eventually the coworking disappeared and they focused on events, exhibitions and training.

The first starting point for the school was an event called Sevilla Design Week, focused on the world of design and visual communication.

Currently, the school offers annual illustration and design courses; painting workshops on painting techniques, co-organized with the Red Gallery, in which painters from all over the world are invited; as well as themed exhibition initiatives. All these projects are open to students, professionals and lovers of creativity in all its manifestations.

An artistic mural with NOVO-LACK Enamel

Part of the decoration of the school is made up of the artwork created by the students themselves, as well as by its director. For months the school had an idea for a decorative mural for its walls and thanks to the collaboration of Eurotex, the intervention was carried out.

The idea for the mural was to achieve a geometric aesthetic, with vector illustration, flat and plain colors but at the same time with a pictogram style.

First the design was created in illustrator, and a color study was made, along with a check of the pantonera and Eurotex chart, to locate the range of the enamel Novolack enamel range.

Before starting to paint, a test of the colors was made on paper, together with some adjustments on screen to make them look like the selected ones. Later, a projector was used to capture the drawing on the wall and the work of painting began. With the help of masking tape and brushes, the geometric mural that decorates one of the school's rooms was created.

Eurotex is proud to be part of these artistic manifestations that value art and creative thinking.
