Eurotex collaborates through the brand Nazza Resins in the manufacturing project of a Formula Student of the University of Malaga.
Today we bring you a new project that we have been part of through our brand specialized in resins: Nazza Resins.
They are MART (Malaga Racing Team)a racing team formed by the University of Malaga formed by more than 60 students. This team competes in the Formula Student championship, an international single-seater competition with 40 years of history that is held in many countries such as Germany, Japan, Brazil or Australia, among others. All of them use the same regulations, with up to 120 teams and more than 2,000 students competing.
Eurotex and Nazza participate as sponsoring partners of the MART Malaga Racing Team Project, providing the students with the products and materials necessary for the construction of the single-seater from scratch (mainly Nazza resins).
In addition, the MART team has been supported by the R&D department of Eurotex TCH for consultations and technical advice on certain products, their uses and applications.
Products used in the manufacture of the single-seater: Formula Student for MART
The Nazza and Eurotex materials used in the construction of the single-seater were:
- Resins to make the molds: as good mechanical properties were required so that the mold would not show deformations when the vacuum was made together with the final piece, the following resins were supplied Transparent Polyester Resin type Orthophthalic Orthophthalic Nazza y Orthophthalic White Gelcoat.
- Resins for the final part: for the finish, they were looking for good mechanical properties, as for the mold, and also a transparent finish and a certain suitability for infusion and curing in vacuum. For this reason, they used Nazza® Epoxy Resin for Crafts and Repairs, which is very suitable for occlusions, occlusions and repairs.Epoxy Resin for Crafts and Repairs, very suitable for occlusions, encapsulation and layering.
- In addition, everything necessary for the correct molding and creation of the parts was provided: release wax, fiberglasssandpaper, sandpaper, gloves, acetone y other accessories.
Nazza Automotive and Nautical product line
In addition to the aforementioned products, Nazza incorporates a wide variety of products for the nautical and automotive sectors, ideal for the preparation of vehicles and sport boats. Thus, we offer from polyester gelcoats/topcoats to vinylester resin, fiberglass, carbon fiber or body fillers, among others.
